Who we are

St. Joseph’s College Layibi is a respected secondary school located in Layibi, Gulu, Northern Uganda. The school is known for its Catholic foundation, commitment to discipline, and dedication to preparing learners for responsible adulthood.

Since its founding in 1955, Layibi has served generations of students through academic formation, moral guidance, practical learning, and community life. Its story is closely connected to the development of education in Northern Uganda.

Our Heritage & Founding

Founded in 1955 by the Verona Fathers, Layibi was established with an early emphasis on science and technical education a practical vision that continues to guide our curriculum today.
